Our organization recently worked with Meryl on a large grant proposal. She was exceptionally helpful throughout the process--analyzing the goals and values of the foundation who would be awarding the grant, understanding the requirements our proposal would need to address, and writing a compelling narrative for the work we would do. She listened to us well, but also greatly elevated our work. We won't hesitate to ask Meryl to help us with future grant proposals.
Our team worked with Dr. Herr to update and refine our curriculum as we prepare to serve other communities. Not only did we receive the feedback toward a more effective, mission-aligned curriculum, our team learned how to be more thoughtful facilitators/teachers, and curriculum designers. This will continue to pay dividends. Couldn't commend her more!
Trinity worked with Meryl on a major grant proposal. Meryl provided expertise and insight throughout the grant writing process. She helped us develop our priorities and tell our story in a compelling way. She understands theological higher education and helped us write a better grant proposal. Meryl's help was instrumental to our successful grant proposal.
I’ve had the privilege of knowing and working with Meryl for many years, and in that time I’ve watched her bring a depth of thoughtfulness and practical wisdom to everything she does. At Made to Flourish, we’ve partnered with Meryl and The Good Works Group on a variety of projects—writing for Common Good magazine, leading evaluation work for our residency accelerator, and supporting multiple grant proposals—and in every setting, she combines excellent analytical skills with clear communication and deep insight. Meryl’s contributions have strengthened our work in lasting ways, and we’re deeply grateful for the wisdom and excellence she brings to every project.
The GoodWorks Group has been an incredibly valuable partner. From running focus groups to programming events to writing curriculum, Dr. Meryl Herr brings her best and her heart, with both professionalism and excellence as well as relational warmth and grace. She's a careful thinker willing to ask hard questions, and she also listens well and knows how to encourage others toward success. I wholeheartedly commend her work to others.
Meryl is a very competent and skilled evaluator and brings a fresh eye to assessing the impact of an organization or project.
Dr. Herr has worked continuously and with a great deal of passion for training our students in vocation/biblical calling. Dr. Herr first served on our task force for curriculum design and quickly provided a guiding hand in developing curriculum outcomes, designing specific sessions, and compiling notes from various books and ideas. She also helped guide application of various teaching elements demonstrating familiarity with Kolb Learning Styles and several other schema. But perhaps her biggest accomplishment was adjusting to the culture of our organization and working with various staff to help them better design and deliver the teaching goals we set. Meryl also did this by participating in our conference trial run and 2nd year track delivery. She is continuing to help with research and interviewing students and staff to better meet their needs. She has drawn up proposals for track revisions several times that have been very helpful to the entire process. We’d entrust her with the project as is at this point. Dr. Herr has been a valuable contributor and driving force for creating and improving our theological training of students in this critical aspect of vocational stewardship.
